Re-train Your Brain

Dr. Hartl provides exposure and response prevention (ERP) treatment, which is a behavioral therapy to create new learning amidst common OCD triggers.

ERP is often referred to as a method for retraining the mind to manage anxiety more effectively by disrupting the cycle of obsessions and compulsions.

By using a therapist-assisted exposure framework, she can accompany her clients in the community to confront feared objects, thoughts, and situations. Her work is informed by recent directions in inference-based treatments that focus on the importance of trusting one’s senses and quieting doubts.
