Perfectionism

When someone tries to meet relentless, unattainable standards of perfection, they often live in a constant state of distress. In addition, the fear of making mistakes can keep people paralyzed and second-guessing themselves without any recourse. Cognitive behavioral therapy helps individuals weigh the pros and cons of exiting in such an alarm state and helps them devise a plan for settling for relative excellence or good-enoughness rather than perfection.
